reKo is a groundbreaking project born from the collaboration between rehub, L’Oréal, and Ethos Profumerie. Its mission? To transform discarded perfume bottles into stylish and versatile fashion accessories, turning waste into a powerful statement of sustainability.
At the core of reKo lies a vision to challenge the perception of waste. Each bottle collected—non-recyclable due to the integrated vaporizer mechanism—was gathered through a nationwide campaign by Ethos Profumerie. These bottles were carefully processed and reimagined into elegant accessories, showcasing the potential of circular design and encouraging a more conscious approach to materials and consumption.
A key highlight of the collection is the reKo brooch, designed for adaptability and evolution. Its modular nature allows it to be easily “hacked” and repurposed, ensuring it remains functional even as user needs change. This focus on reuse extends the lifecycle of products, delaying obsolescence and embodying the true spirit of the circular economy.
reKo exemplifies how innovative design and sustainability can intersect to create meaningful change, offering a blueprint for a more thoughtful and environmentally conscious future.
